Lead role: watch why I was persuading politicians…

As you may remember (or, if you’re really unlucky, you’ll have witnessed), I’m always keen to tell my story, if it might help others going through similar challenges – and that’s why I went to the House of Commons on 15th July to try to persuade MPs to support Anthony Nolan’s major Destination: Cure. I could type away to tell you all about how the event went here, but the written word isn’t always the best way to convey a story…

So I’m delighted to be able to show you – in professional technicolour – just how the Destination: Cure event panned out, in this short video Anthony Nolan put together about my day pestering politicians:

It was a great day, and I got to the end of it feeling pretty exhausted, but inspired and encouraged by the start we’ve made in persuading MPs to support Anthony Nolan’s aims to ensure “a future where the destination for every patient is a cure”!

Just as finding a match is just the start for a blood cancer patient needing a transplant, though, the launch of the campaign is just the beginning of the effort needed, so keep the momentum going by visiting the campaign page – and make sure you sign up to tell your MP all about it!

Oh – and do please share my story to spread the word and help more people like me facing life-threatening illnesses.
